The Blue Planet team designs, builds and manages websites for a wide range of small businesses across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and be a pivotal part of the technical department.
This is an essential and key role, working closely with clients and other lead personnel within the company.
You will be responsible for building and amending websites using PHP/MySQL, delivering projects on time and to a high standard. You will also provide technical resource for trouble shooting and front line customer support. Working closely with key clients, you will be responsible for developing and marketing existing websites for retained contracts.
You will have the highest standards of quality and delivery and outstanding technical knowledge.
This role will suit a person with the following attributes and skills:
- Excellent PHP/MySQL skills
- Excellent CSS/XHTML skills
- Exceptional knowledge and experience of Wordpress
- Experience of building and delivering ecommerce sites
- Web head – a genuine passion and interest in the World Wide Web
- Customer/results focused
- Ability to plan workload
- Methodical and practical approach
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, while producing accurate, technically correct work to a high standard

To be successful in this position, you will have at least 2 years commercial experience in web development.
